Hays Spends Over $1 Million on Street Repairs

The 2012 Hays street maintenance program is wrapping up. The city spent about $1.2 million repairing and improving streets using a variety of methods.

Public Works Director I.D. Creech says one of the projects restored some of the damaged brick streets. Other work included curb repair and maintenance on both asphalt and concrete streets scattered throughout town.

City crews did whatever work they could in house and the rest was contracted.
