A Russell man was killed Saturday in an accident in Barton County.

The Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Julian Gonzales was standing on Highway 281 south of Hoisington trying to stand his motorcycle up when he was hit by a southbound pickup driven by a 20-year-old St. John woman.

The accident happened around 9:50 Saturday night.
