Monday’s Police Activity Log

The Hays Police Department conducted 12 traffic stops and received nine animal calls on Monday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated three theft reports and one burglary on Monday. The first theft report was in the 2900 block of Vine Street. The alleged theft occurred Saturday between 10:00AM and 2:00PM. Another theft was reported in the 200 block of East 28th Street between 12:00AM Sunday and 9:39AM Monday. The final theft was reported Monday morning in the 400 block of East 6th Street. Officers also investigated the burglary of a residence in the 200 block of West 6th Street Monday evening.

Motor Vehicle Accident: Officers responded to four motor vehicle accidents on Monday. A vehicle accident involving private property was reported in the 700 block of East 6th Street at 8:20 Monday morning. Officers investigated a hit and run accident with private property Monday afternoon at 2:02. Another vehicle accident involving private property was reported in the 300 block of West 13th Street at 2:57 Monday afternoon. The final motor vehicle accident was reported at 27th and Canal Boulevard Monday evening at 5:48.

Battery: The Hays Police department began an investigation into a report of aggravated battery in the 400 block of West 24th Street Monday afternoon at 4:34PM.

Civil Dispute: Officers also investigated a civil dispute Monday evening in the 1800 block of East 27th Street at 6:54PM.

Missing Person: Police Officers investigated a missing person report in the 3600 block of Vine Street Monday morning at 7:45.
