It’s the time of year to be thinking about getting a flu shot. HaysMed will hold its annual free drive-thru clinic Sunday.

Infection Control Nurse Rich Matzke says even if you think you never get the flu, you should consider getting vaccinated to prevent spreading the illness to others.

Matzke says this year’s vaccine covers the three worst strains from last year and is 80% to 85% effective.

The drive-thru clinic will run Sunday from 9am to 2pm. Use the north entrance at HaysMed. Children will be vaccinated in the Center for Health Improvement.
