The Fort Hays State rallied from a 10 point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime and defeat Southwest Baptist 37-34 on a damp day in Bolivar, Mo.

Cornelius Gallon caught an 8-yard pass in the back of the endzone with 0:04 to play to tie the game. Anthony Sheppard threw the TD pass after Tarean Austin It capped a 19-play 86-yard drive that ate up 4:07.
After holding the Bearcats to a fieldgoal on their overtime possession, the Tigers score on an 7-yard TD pass from Tarean Austin to win it.
Austin completed 22-of-39 passes for 271 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Anthony Sheppard completed his only pass for a TD which tied the game.
Shaun Olhde rushed for 91 yards on 29 carries after Traveon Albert and Addie Brown both left with first half injuries.
Gallon hauled in nine catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
FHSU ran 96 plays compared to SBU’s 46 and held the ball for 43:20 compared to the Bearcats 31:40. The Tigers completed 12 of 20 third down conversions and were 3-for-3 on fourth down, all on their final drive of regulation.
The win moves FHSU to 2-5 and 2-5 in the MIAA. SBU falls to 1-6 overall and in MIAA play.
