A Hays man was killed Sunday night in a Phillips County accident.

The Highway Patrol reports that 66-year-old Lloyd Mintzmyer was northbound on Highway 183 when his pickup went left of center and hit a southbound semi head on.

Mintzmyer was killed in the accident that happened around 8:50pm. The driver of the semi, 51-year-old Kerry Breon of Phillipsburg, was not injured.
