A Pacific cold front will begin to drive a much drier air across the central high plains this morning.
Windy conditions will develop across western and central Kansas today. An upper low will develop over the Missouri valley tonight, with an intense upper jet dropping through the Central Plains. As a result, parts of Kansas could see even stronger winds on Thursday afternoon.
Wind Advisories and Red flag warnings are in effect for much of the area Today and Thursday. A high wind watch is in effect for parts of central Kansas Thursday.
