The Hays Police Department conducted 11 traffic stops and received 11 animal calls on Monday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Burglary/Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated four burglaries and one theft on Monday. Three of the burglaries were of a business located in the 700 block of East 7th Street. The first burglary allegedly occurred between July 15th and August 1st, the second burglary occurred between September 15th and October 1st and the third burglary occurred between Saturday at 12:00PM and Monday at 7:53AM. The burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of Vine Street Monday at 12:06PM. Officers also investigated a theft report in the 1100 block of East 13th Street at 2:43PM.
Assault: Officers responded to the 1200 block of Vine Street Monday morning for the report of a criminal threat. Officers also investigate an assault in connection with the criminal threat report at 9:00AM Monday.
Civil Dispute: The Hays PD investigated an alleged civil dispute in the 3400 block of Vine Street at 5:13 Monday evening.
Drug Offense: Officers investigated drug related offenses in the 3800 block of Vine Street Monday evening at 11:46.
Weapons: The Hays Police Department responded to a mental health call in the 1400 block of East 29th Monday evening at 9:27. Officers also investigated an unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the mental health call.
Motor Vehicle Accident: There were five motor vehicle accidents reported to the Hays Police Department on Monday. Two of the accidents were report as a motor vehicle accident involving private property Monday afternoon. The first accident was reported in the 1300 block of Canterbury Drive at 12:38PM. The second accident was reported in the 2200 block of Canterbury Drive at 3:26PM.
