In January the Hays Convention and Visitor’s Bureau contracted with a Topeka firm for a tourism marketing study. Executive Director Jana Jordan says the goal is to formulate a comprehensive way to market the city both with visitors and residents.
Some of the components include a redesigned website to be launched in February, pocket maps of the city, a presence on social media sites and statewide billboards. Jordan says another area being targeted is making Fort Hays State students feel more a part of the community.
