Red Cross Responds, Asks for Help

The American Red Cross is asking for monetary and blood donations to help with the response to Superstorm Sandy.

The storm has already killed at least 16 people along the U.S. East Coast as it continues to move inland. The Red Cross has opened shelters in nine states.

Blood drives are being held throughout the area beginning Tuesday and Wednesday at Fort Hays State University in the Memorial Union. Hays High is hosting a blood drive November 6, from 8 am to 2:30 pm. A sign up is available on the HHS website.
