UPDATE: Multiple Large Fires In Stafford County; Second Year Of Fires On Halloween

Only an hour after fire crews in Stafford County were dispatched to the report of someone setting a pile of trees on fire, crews were sent to a house fire in the city of Stafford.

Authorities have not confirmed if the two fires are connected, however, this is the second year in a row that there have been fires set in the county. The house fire is also suspicious because no one was currently living in the home. No injuries have been reported and crews are still on the scene at this time.

The first fire began around 8 PM in Stafford County. This fire is similar to last year’s Halloween fire in Stafford County in which a large pile of trees was set on fire. This time the fire began to spread to the four foot high CRP grass on both sides of the road, and caused concern for a house nearby.

Firefighters are expected to remain on scene through the night making sure the fire does not spread.

Both fires are under investigation.
