According to a media release from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department the cause of death of the missing 25-year old female, Ivone “Yosset” Martinez, a Fort Hays State student, was a self-inflicted gun shot wound. The Ellis County Corner, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department and the Hays Police Department completed their investigation Monday. Martinez was reported missing on Friday and her body was located Saturday morning.
UPDATE: 1:41 p.m. Saturday, Nov 3
The body of the missing 25 year old female, Ivone “Yosset” Martinez a Fort Hays State University student has been located this morning by a search team made up of the Hays Police Department, Hays Fire Department, University Police, and the aircraft from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
There is no indication of foul play at this time. Her death is under investigation by the Ellis County Coroner’s office, Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Hays Police Department.

The Hays Police Department is trying to locate a 25 year old female, named Ivone “Yosset” Martinez a Fort Hays State University student, to check her welfare. Ms. Martinez was last seen on campus around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
