An upper level ridge will continue in the central United States through Thursday.
At the surface, a trough of low pressure will deepen in the lee of the Rockies today, resulting in a return to south to southeast winds at 10 to 20 mph. A strong cold front will move through western Kansas Saturday night.
Sunday will be much colder with a few snow flurries possible.
