Soroptimist International of Hays is taking nominations for its three annual awards.
One is the Women’s Opportunity Award, which grants $1,000 to a head-of-household woman who is seeking additional education or training. The Violet Richardson Award honors a 14 to 17 year old female for her leadership and volunteer efforts. The third is the Ruby Award, which goes to a woman who through professional or personal efforts works to improve the lives of other women or girls.
