The Fort Hays State Tigers scored 14 unanswered first half points to build an early 15-point lead and cruised to a 84-44 win over Bethany College Tuesday at Gross Coliseum. The win improves the Tigers to 2-0.

Dwayne Brunson led three Tigers in double-figures with 22 points and 11 rebounds, hitting 8-of-11 from the floor. Ben Conguista hit 3-of-5 3-pointers and scored 13, all in the first half. Rundell Mauge added 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Tigers shoot 46-percent for the game and finish 9-of-19 from 3-point range and outrebound Bethany by 19.
FHSU returns to action Saturday afternoon at 4pm against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
