The Director of University Police at Fort Hays State University, has been appointed law enforcement representative for Region 5 of the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police.

In this position Ed Howell will support local, regional and statewide hazard preparedness and help reduce vulnerabilities to natural disasters. The region encompasses the 30 counties of northwest Kansas.
