The Hays Police Department conducted 26 traffic stops and received three animal calls on Tuesday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Theft: Officers were called to the 4300 block of Vine Street Tuesday evening for the report of shoplifting. The theft allegedly occurred between 7:15 and 7:28 Tuesday evening.
Damage to Property: The Hays Police Department responded to the 700 block of East 6th Street Tuesday morning at 8:44, for the report of damage to property. Officers investigated a civil dispute in connection with the damage report.
Disturbance: The Hays PD responded to two disturbance reports on Tuesday. The first report was a noise report, in connection with drug offenses in the 700 block of West 12th at 10:17 a.m. Officers also investigated a domestic disturbance in the 4000 block of General Hays Road at 1:24 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Accident: Officers responded to three motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday. The first accident was reported in the 200 block of East 7th Street at 10:35 a.m. The second accident was reported in the 800 block of Ash Street at 12:50 p.m. and the final accident was reported in the 1900 block of Vine Street at 5:45 p.m.
Water Use Violation: There was one water use violation reported to the Hays PD on Tuesday afternoon. The violation was reported at 10:25 p.m. in the 2000 block of Marshall Road.
