The 2013 Street Maintenance Program in Hays would spend about $630,000 if the city commission approves the plan Thursday. The commission also could decide to use additional sales tax revenue, and Assistant Public Works Director John Braun says one project they’d like to do would improve Fort Street between 20th and 27th in conjunction with a water line project.
The Fort Street rehabilitation is estimated to cost $250,000. The commission also will consider approving the additional project Thursday.
