The Hays Police Department conducted nine traffic stops and received 11 animal calls on Monday and Tuesday, the 24th and 25th.

Burglary: The Hays Police Department investigated two burglaries of residences. The first burglary occurred between Sunday evening and 10:30 and Monday morning at 4:13 in the 400 block of East 5th Street. The second burglary, of a residence, was reported in the 3700 block of Hall Street between Monday afternoon and 2:00 and Tuesday evening at 8:00.

Theft: One theft was reported to the Hays PD on Monday. The alleged theft occurred between 1:00 and 2:00 Monday morning in the 800 block of Ash Street.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers conducted one driving under the influence stop in the 1100 block of East 22nd Street at 2:17 Monday morning.

Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department responded to one motor vehicle accident on Monday and Tuesday. The first accident was reported in the 200 block of West 21st Street at 12:00 a.m. Saturday. The second accident, was reported as a hit and run accident in the 500 block of West 17th Street. The alleged accident occurred at 9:47 Tuesday morning.
