The Hays Police Department conducted nine traffic stops and received seven animal calls on Wednesday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department got one report of a theft on Wednesday. The alleged theft occurred in the 200 block of East 24th Street and was reported at 10:38 Wednesday morning.

Aggravated Battery: Officers responded to the 1300 block of East 15th to investigate the report an aggravated battery Wednesday afternoon. The alleged incident occurred between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Criminal Damage to Property: The Hays PD investigated three reports of criminal damage to property. The first damage was reported in the 1100 block of Vine Street at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday. The second was reported in the 200 block of West 20th Street at 7:00 Wednesday morning. The alleged damage occurred between Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Wednesday. The third criminal damage report was in the 1300 block of Milner Street at 7:49 Wednesday evening.

Driving Under the Influence: The Hays Police Department conducted one driving under the influence stop on Wednesday. The stop was conducted in the 1700 block of East 22nd Street at 2:07 a.m. Officers also investigated drug related offenses in connection with the traffic stop.

Traffic Accident: Police Officers responded to one motor vehicle accident reported on Wednesday. The accident occurred at 12th and Maple Street at 6:52 a.m. Wednesday.
