The Hays Police Department conducted 23 traffic stops and received four animal calls on Friday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department responded to one motor vehicle reported on Thursday and six vehicle accidents reported on Friday. The first accident was reported as a person injury accident in the 200 block of West 8th Street at 11:38 a.m. Friday. Officers also investigated the driver for driving under the influence in connection with the accident. Two of the accidents were with private property. The first accident was reported in the 1900 block of Vine Street at 2:30 p.m. Officers also investigated a hit and run accident with private property in the 400 block of East 14th Street at 7:42 Friday evening.

Suspicious Activity: The Hays PD responded to the 4300 block of Vine Street, Friday afternoon at 5:20, for the report of suspicious activity. Officers also investigated a disorderly conduct case in connection with the suspicious activity report.

Between Saturday morning and Sunday night the Hays Police Department conducted 43 traffic stops and received one animal call, , according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated four theft reports between early Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. The first theft report was for shoplifting in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 1:28 Saturday morning. Theft of services in connection with criminal damage to property was reported in the 300 block of Mopar Drive at 9:35 Saturday morning. The theft of a vehicle was reported in the 1300 block of East 15th Street at 10:45 Saturday morning. The final theft report on Sunday was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street. The alleged theft occurred between 1:40 and 1:55 Sunday afternoon.

Driving Under the Influence: The Hays Police Department conducted four driving under the influence stops on Saturday and three on Sunday.

Liquor Offense: Officers investigated one liquor offense on Sunday. Officers cited an individual for underage possession of cereal malt beverage in the 500 block of West 7th Street at 1:51 a.m.

Missing Person: The Hays PD received the report of a missing person in the 3600 block of Vine Street Sunday afternoon at 1:42.

Drug Offenses: The Hays PD received the report of a suspicious activity in the 1300 block of Vine Street on Sunday evening at 9:34. When officers arrived they investigated a case of drug related offenses in connection with the suspicious vehicle report.

Aggravated Battery: Officers investigated two aggravated assaults in the early morning hours Sunday. The first aggravated assault was reported in the 500 block of West 7th at 1:37 a.m. Officers were conducting a bar check when they began the investigation into the aggravated assault. The second aggravated assault was reported in the 100 block of West 7th Street. The alleged incident occurred between 1:45 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Civil Dispute: The Hays Police Department responded to a report of a civil dispute and custody dispute in the 1300 block of Eisenhower Road at 3:36 p.m.

Motor Vehicle Accident: Officers responded to two motor vehicle accidents on Saturday. The first accident, involving private property was reported in the 2600 block of Vine Street at 12:20 p.m. Sunday. The second accident, a hit and run accident, was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 12:34 p.m.
