The Hays Police Department conducted 28 traffic stops and received four animal calls on Tuesday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated one theft reported on Tuesday evening. The alleged theft was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street and it occurred between 9:02 and 9:09 p.m.
Drug Offenses: Officers investigated one drug offense on Tuesday morning and 11:48. Officers responded to the 700 block of East 6th Street for the report of found/lost property and investigated drug offenses in connection with the property complaint.
Child in Need of Care: The Hays PD received on report of a Child in Need of Care in the 1200 block of Fort Street on Tuesday afternoon at 2:06 p.m.
Violation of Restraining Order: The Hays Police Department investigated two reports of violation of restraining order. The first, in connection with a report of harassment in the 2700 block Plaza Avenue at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. The second violation of restraining order was reported in the 400 block of West 37th Tuesday evening between 7:05 and 7:08.
Driving Under the Influence: The Hays PD conducted on driving under the influence traffic stop on Tuesday. The DUI stop was conducted in the 2900 block of Vine Street at 2:40 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department received three reports of motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday. The first accident was a hit and run accident reported in the 1700 block of East 26th Street at 1:59 Tuesday afternoon. The second accident was reported in the 2700 block of Vine Street at 3:00 p.m. The final accident was reported as an accident with private property in the 500 block of Main Street at 3:25 p.m.
