Update: Missing Teen’s Body Found

body 1Monday 6 p.m.  Searchers on foot from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, Hays Police, Hays Fire and Ellis County Rural Fire found 18-year old Citlatli Armendariz’s body in the trees along Big Creek.

Sheriff Ed Harbin says he expects to have a more complete report Tuesday.

An autopsy is being performed by the Ellis County Coroner.

 

Monday 4:30p.m. The body of Citlatli Armendariz was found Monday afternoon. Ellis County Sheriff Ed Harbin says the 18-year-old, who had been missing since Saturday night, was found between 3:00 and 3:30 pm in trees along the creek south of Hays on the west side of Highway 183.

Law enforcement is processing the scene. The death is under investigation.

Armendariz was a student at Hays High, where counselors will be available Tuesday.

 

Sunday 6:30pm: The Ellis County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a missing teen. 18-year-old Citlatli Armendariz was last seen around 9:30 Saturday night in the 1100 Block of 250th Avenue. She left a gathering and has not been seen since.

Armendariz is Hispanic, 5’3” and weighs 150 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information, call the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department 625-1040.
