Obituary – Jan. 15th – Patsy L. Edsall

Patsy L. (Kuntzsch) Edsall

   Hays, Kansas – Patsy L (Kuntzsch) Edsall, age 72, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

   She was born May 19, 1940, in Russell, Kansas, to William H. and Margaret E. (Reddig) Kuntzsch.  She married Fridolin N. Braun on September 16, 1956, in Victoria, Kansas.  He died August 13, 1988.  She married Daniel Edsall on May 25, 1996, in Russell, Kansas.  He died November 29, 2011.

   She grew up and attended school in Russell, Kansas.  She lived in Victoria, Luray and after she retired moved to Hays in 1998.  She was homemaker and a cook all of her life and owned Mrs. B’s restaurant in Luray for a few years.   She cooked at the old Linmar’s restaurant and the former Ramada Inn both in Hays.   She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, her family, grandchildren and was a avid video game player.

   Survivors include one son, Fred Braun and wife, La Donna, Bunker Hill, KS; three daughters, Sharon Rupp, Park City, KS; Karen Riedel and husband, Lloyd, Connie Pemberton and husband, Del, both of Hays, KS; four brothers, Bill Kuntzsch and wife, Mary, Kenneth Kuntzsch and wife, Linda, both of Russell, KS; James Kuntzsch and wife, Joyce, Dorrance, KS; Dennis Kuntzsch and wife, Sheryl, Palco, KS;  one sister, Norma Acheson, Russell, KS; one sister-in-law, Paula Kuntzsch, Russell, KS;  ten grandchildren, Danielle Bornholdt (John), B.J. Rupp (Dena), Amanda Sander (Bob), Lindsay Ricker (Rustin), Nathan Riedel, Josh Pemberton, Jennifer Klaus, Nichol Braun, Alexander Braun and Hannah Braun; nine great grandchildren, Laine Werth, Kinley Rupp, Madisyn Rupp, Emersyn Sander, Chasey Wasinger, Gunnison Ricker, Nicholas Kohler, Kenadee Kohler, Samantha Rollins.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one brother John Kuntzsch; two sisters, Peggy Heckens and Nancy Wallace; two infant sisters, Betty and Dixie Kuntzsch.

    Private family services were held at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas, 67601.  Inurnment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays, Kansas.
