A Midwest Energy lineman was injured while making repairs to a power pole Tuesday morning.

The man was repairing an insulator on a pole about five miles south of Great Bend when the bucket truck tipped over. He was in the extended bucket, which hit the ground.

The name of the injured worker has not been released. He was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Midwest Energy is investigating the accident.
