The Hays Police Department conducted 34 traffic stops and received five animal calls on Wednesday, according to the Police Activity Log. 
Theft: Officers investigated two theft reports on Wednesday. The first theft was reported on Tuesday in the 200 block of West 17th Street. The alleged theft occurred between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. Officers also investigated drug offenses in connection with the theft report. The second theft was reported in the 2700 block of Epworth Street. The theft occurred between December 25th at 8:00 p.m. and January 16th at 8:00 p.m.
Civil Dispute: The Hays PD investigated two civil disputes reported Wednesday. The first dispute was reported in the 1300 block of Douglas Drive between 7:06 a.m. and 9:12 a.m. Wednesday. The second civil dispute was reported in the 1300 block of East 32nd Street at 1:10 Wednesday afternoon. Officers also investigated drug offenses in connection with the civil dispute report.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of Felten Drive at 9:04 Wednesday night.
Suspicious Person: The Hays Police Department received the report of a suspicious person in the 700 block of East 6th Street Wednesday afternoon at 4:05.
