UPDATE: Driver Of Semi Killed In Rollover Accident On I-70

UPDATE: The driver of a semi that rolled over on I-70 in Ellsworth County has died.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Ronald W. Kehoe of Jerome Idaho, eastbound on I-70, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and went into the south ditch. Upon re-entering the roadway the semi flipped onto its side and came to a stop blocking both eastbound lanes.

Kehoe was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he later died.

 

ORIGINAL 4:40 PM: A rollover accident on I-70 involving a semi has halted eastbound traffic in Ellsworth County.

At around 4 PM Thursday a semi rolled over on I-70 near milemarker 220.

It is currently unknown if anyone was injured in the accident. Emergency crews remain on the scene.

At around 4:20 PM, traffic was backed up for nearly a mile.

Westbound traffic was not affected.
