Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two theft reports on Thursday. The first theft report was in connection with a report of a phone or mail scam, in the 500 block of West 27th Street at 4:42 p.m. The second theft was reported Thursday afternoon in the 1300 block of East 33rd Street. The theft occurred between 10:30 a.m. Monday and Thursday at 12:50 p.m.
Fight: Officers responded to two disturbance reports in connection with fights on Thursday. The first fight was reported in the 1100 block of Vine Street at 1:49 a.m. Thursday. The second fight was reported in the 100 block of West 7th Street at 11:05 Thursday evening.
Civil Dispute: The Hays PD investigated a civil dispute at 8:30 Thursday morning in the 400 block of West 12th Street. Officers also investigated a driving while having a suspended or revoked license in connection with the civil dispute report.
Driving Under the Influence: Hays Police Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Vine Street Thursday and 2:43 a.m. Officers began an investigation into a case of driving under the influence upon conducting the traffic stop.
Motor Vehicle Accident: The Hays Police Department investigated two motor vehicle accidents reported on Thursday. The first accident was reported as a hit and run in the 3700 block of Vine Street at 6:46 a.m. Officers then investigated the report as a false report. The second accident involved private property, in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 2:00 Thursday afternoon.
