The Hays Police Department conducted 16 traffic stops and received five animal calls on Monday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated on theft report on Monday morning. Shoplifting was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street Monday morning between 12:30 and 12:40.

Burglary: Officers investigated the burglary of a residence in the 400 block of West 5th Street that was reported Monday evening. The alleged burglary occurred between January 14th and Monday evening at 6:00

Civil Dispute: The Hays PD responded to the report of a civil dispute in the 1900 block of Main Street Monday afternoon. The civil dispute was reported in the connection with a harassment by telephone report at 1:25 Monday afternoon.

Disturbance: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance report Monday evening in the 1700 block of Volga Drive. The alleged incident occurred between 10:05 and 10:20 Monday night.

Driving Under the Influence: The Hays PD conducted one driving under the influence stop on Monday at 2:23 a.m. in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Motor Vehicle Accident: There were two motor vehicle accidents reported on Monday. The first accident was reported at 3:58 p.m. in the 600 block of East 15th Street. Officers also investigated a hit and run accident in the 4300 block of Vine Street. The accident was reported at 4:19 Monday afternoon.
