Ellis County firefighters are currently on the scene of a fire at 1154 250th Avenue.  Stay tuned to Eagle radio and Hays Post for more details as they become available.

Update 12:40 p.m.  According to Ellis County Rural Fire Director Dick Klaus, “This run to a fire was simply a miscommunication between someone burning trash and the KDHE. The individual burning trash had called, learned that he could not include mattresses and a microwave in the fire, took those items out of the trash burning but did not communicate that he was going to burn other items.”  No one was injured in the race to the fire or at the scene.
