Sudden cardiac arrest strikes about 250,000 adults in the U.S. each year. Many of them don’t receive CPR in time and die before reaching the hospital. For that reason, the Hays Medical Center Foundation and DeBakey Heart Institute are again hosting a free CPR training this month.
Vice President of Operations at HaysMed, Bryce Young, says part of the goal of the training is to take away the fear of performing CPR.
The training will be February 23rd at the Center for Health Improvement. The sessions will begin at 9am and 11am. Call HaysMed at 623-5500 to register.
