The Hays High Boys Swim Team is on the way to the State Swim meet Friday and Saturday  in Topeka (Hummer Sports Complex).

State Qualifiers include: Blake Mathews, 200 free and 100 free, relays; Connor Hess, 200 IM and 100 back, relays; Joshua Brungardt, relays; Derek Drees, 50 free, 100 butterfly, and relays; Max Mathews, 100 butterfly, and relays; Cade Sharp, relays; Ben Rajewski, 500 free; Austin Chambers, 100 breaststroke. All three relay teams qualified for state. The 400 free relay has broken the school record set in 1994. Good luck to of all of the swimmers!!

 

Friday evening update: The boys have established at least one and possibly two new school records during Friday’s competition.

Saturday evening update: Team finished a great season with a 13th place finish at the state meet in Topeka.
