After a difficult day in the pool on Friday, the Hays High swimmers finished 13th out of the 26 teams at state swimming. An improvement from last year when they finished 21st. Their 400 freestyle relay team of seniors Connor Hess, Derek Drees Blake Mathews, and Josh Brungardt placed eighth with a time of three minutes and 35.56 seconds.
