Police in Ellis have told Hays Post that the man injured in Sunday’s motorcycle accident was not wearing a helmet.  Officer Christopher Krom indicated the man struck a curb in the 1200 block of Dorrance Street and was reportedly taken by family  members to Trego County Lemke Memorial hospital in WaKeeney. However, hospital administrator Harold Cortouis told Hays Post that injured man never arrived at their facility.  Stay tuned to Eagle Radio and Hays Post for more information as it becomes available.
