The National Cable & Telecommunications Association board meets today in Washington. Eagle Communications President and CEO Gary Shorman of Hays serves on the NCTA board of directors and will be among those on hand today to discuss Connect2Compete.

The Connect2Compete initiative provides low-income families who qualify for free lunches through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) internet access at home for less than ten dollars a month. The initiative has helped low-income families access the Internet in the 30 communities served by Eagle Communications.
