City Appreciative, Needs Citizen Help Again

In a memo from the City of Ellis today:

The City of Ellis greatly appreciates the cooperation of citizens during the recent major winter storm. The City Crew was able to clean and maintain the designated storm routes throughout the duration of the storm, and then expeditiously clear the arterial streets because of the concerted efforts of citizens to remove their vehicles from the streets.

The City of Ellis is asking for the continued cooperation of citizens. We are expecting a second significant winter storm, arriving on Sunday evening and lasting through most of Monday. We have been told to expect in excess of 6” additional snow, accompanied by 40+ mph winds. The City of Ellis strongly encourages citizens to once again have all vehicles removed from the streets where possible, especially on the designated snow route to facilitate snow removal, before 5 p.m. on Sunday evening. And, once again, for the duration of this new winter storm, the City of Ellis urges all citizens to refrain from driving, unless it is an absolute necessity.Ellis KS map
