It does not happen often, two large snowstorms back to back. Hays Public Works Crews have not had time to get much rest between winter storms. Last week they did an outstanding job keeping streets open. This week they get to work in and around a blizzard.

On Sunday, Hays Public Works Director ID Creech told HaysPost that his team had applied brine and were waiting to see what the weather would do. “All equipment is repaired and ready. Crews have been notified and will be standing by. We will run the salt/brine as prudent and helpful.”
