Weather Causes More Accidents on I-70

KHP-PatchIcy conditions on I-70 are blamed on two injury accidents Monday night in Ellis County.

The first was around 6:30 three miles east of Hays. A westbound car hit an icy spot, according to the Highway Patrol. It went into the median and rolled once landing in the eastbound lane. The 18-year-old driver and two passengers, all from the Kansas City area, were taken to HaysMed.

Another accident happened about an hour later four miles east of Victoria. A westbound Blazer went into the median, rolled and came to rest in the eastbound lane. An Olathe man was taken to HaysMed.
