The Fort Hays State Lady Tigers scored the final 10 points of the first half to build a 15-point lead and goes on for a 73-56 win over Missouri Western Wednesday night at Gross Coliseum. The win improves FHSU to 19-6 overall and 11-6 in the MIAA. The Griffons fall to 14-11 and 7-10 in the conference.

The Lady Tigers went on a 21-6 first half run to go up 15 only to see Missouri Western answer with a 12-2 run to pull within five. Kate Lehman keyed the final run of the half, scoring eight of their final nine points of the first half.
Kate Edwards led the Lady Tigers with 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Kate Lehman scored 15 of her 20 points in the first half and grabbed 11 rebounds.
FHSU hit 6-of-14 three’s, one game after going 0-for-12 at Washburn. They also outrebounded the Griffons 51-28 and scored 18 second chance points off their 20 offensive rebounds.
