A head on car crash west of Long Island, Kansas, in Phillips County on Wednesday killed a 20 year old Nebraska man and seriously injured a 22 year old woman from Logan.
 According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Austin Shaw of Stamford, Nebraska was driving north on W. 1500 Road when his 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 swerved left of center and hit a Chevy Silverado driven by 22 year old Jessica L Eshbaugh of Logan. Shaw died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Eshbaugh was airlifted to the hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
