Twenty year old Matthew Kloke remains in the Barton County jail for Felony flee and elude, reckless driving and possession of stolen property. 

He slipped out of his handcuffs and escaped from Hays Police on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning he stole a car on Milner Street. The owner of the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix was warming it up on a cold Sunday morning and left it unattended.

Kloke was arrested in Great Bend after a high speed chase. Nobody was injured.
