The Heartland Community Foundation is partnering with Friends of the Hays Dog Park. The organization is working to raise funds for the construction of a dog park, and through this partnership, will establish a provisional fund with the foundation. President Kim Perez says this will simplify bill paying as the construction progresses, and when the park is complete, the group plans to endow a fund to support future maintenance.

The group is trying to raise $127,000 for construction and Perez says they are off to a wonderful start, but have a long way to go.
