Some good news from the Kansas Department of Health today. They reported on their Twitter feed this afternoon, ” #Flu activity has decreased significantly during the past 4 wks. KS rate of flu-like illness is below 3% for the first time since Dec 2012.”

At HaysMed, flu restrictions are still being enforced. According to the hospital web site, “Visitors who have symptoms of Influenza (fever, body aches, headache, severe weakness, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose) or are 12 years of age or younger are asked not to visit at this time.  Due to a significant rise of Influenza A and B nationally we are taking these precautions in order to limit the spread of the flu.  Thank you for your cooperation.”
