This week’s Kansas map From the U-S Drought Monitor:
Despite heavy snow across most of Kansas the last week of February, the entire state still remains in either Severe, Extreme, or Exceptional Drought.
Ellis County is listed as Extreme, except for the very western edge of the county which is listed as Exceptional.
The U.S. Drought Monitor is produced in partnership between the National Drought Mitigation Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
