The Hays Police Department conducted 57 traffic stops and received 12 animal calls between the morning of March 1st and the evening of March 3rd, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated seven theft reported between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. The first three theft were reported in the 1300 block of East 41st Street. The alleged thefts occurred on January 19th at 5:56 p.m. February 16th at 6:20 p.m. and March 1st at 3:54. Officers responded to the 1400 block of Hall Street for the report of a juvenile complaint, in connection with a theft. The alleged incident occurred Wednesday between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. Officers investigated a shoplifting report in the 4300 block of Vine Street. The alleged theft occurred between 5:40 and 5:50 Saturday afternoon. The Hays PD investigated a theft, in connection with a theft reported in the 3600 block Vine Street Saturday night. The alleged incident occurred between 10:00 and 10:48 p.m. The final theft reported of the weekend was reported in the 1300 block at 9:37 Sunday morning.

Burglary: Hays Police Officers investigated the report of a burglary in connection with damage to property in the 100 block of East 16th Street. The alleged burglary and criminal damage to property occurred between 6:10 and 9:15 Friday evening.

Drug Offenses: The Hays PD investigated three drug offenses on Friday. The first was in connection with a driving under the influence stop in the 200 block of East 32nd Street at 6:35 p.m. The second drug offense was reported in the 400 block of West 12th Street at 8:54 p.m. and the final drug offense was reported in the 100 block of West 7th Street in connection with a report of found of lost property Friday night at 11:58.

Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of West 16th Street on Friday night. Officers also investigated a battery report in connection with the domestic disturbance. The alleged incident occurred between 10:15 and 10:30 Friday night.

Civil Dispute: There was one civil dispute, reported to the Hays PD, on Saturday, in the 3300 block of County Lane. The dispute was reported at 4:08 p.m. Saturday/

Disturbance: Officers responded to a noise related disturbance in the 1300 block of Oak Street Sunday night at 11:32. Officers investigated also investigated a liquor offense, sell, furnish or transport, with the noise report. The second disturbance was report as a fight and a case of simple battery in the 4000 block of General Hays Road Sunday afternoon between. 1:30 and 1:36.

Driving Under the Influence: The Hays PD conducted three driving under the influence stops over the weekend. The first DUI stop was conducted in the 1600 block of Elm Street at 1:27 Saturday morning. The second DUI stop was conducted in the 500 block of West 11th Street Saturday morning at 2:02. The final DUI stop conducted by the Hays Police Department was in the 700 block of East 8th Street Sunday morning at 3:07 a.m.

Motor Vehicle Accidents: Officers responded to for motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. Two of the accidents were reported as involving private property. The first was reported in the 1700 block of Canterbury Drive at 4:20 Saturday afternoon. The second was reported Sunday morning in the 200 block of West 41st Street at 1:39. Officers also investigated a hit and run accident in the 300 block of West 6th Street at 12:54 Saturday morning.
