The Hays Police Department conducted 24 traffic stops and received seven animal calls on Thursday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Theft: The Hays PD investigated the report of a theft in the 800 block of Main Street on Thursday. The alleged theft occurred between January 11th at 12:00 p.m. and Monday March 11th, 2013.
Drug Offenses: Officers investigated drug offenses reported in the 700 block of West 12th Street. The alleged incident occurred at 12:29 a.m. on Thursday.
Disturbance: The Hays Police Department responded to two disturbance reports on Thursday. The first disturbance was reported in connection with an aggravated assault in the 3100 block of Tam O’Shanter Drive. The alleged incident occurred between 12:45 and 1:01 a.m. Thursday. The second disturbance was reported in the 2300 block of East 13th Street at 10:24 a.m.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to two domestic disturbances Thursday evening. The first was reported in the 1500 block of Milner Street Thursday evening at 8:12. The second domestic disturbance, in connection with a battery, was reported in the 500 block of West 36th Street. The alleged incident occurred between 5:30 and 7:30 Thursday evening.
Obstruction: The Hays PD investigated the report of obstruction of legal process and the battery on a Law Enforcement Officer in the 500 block of West 36th Street Thursday night at 11:49.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: Officers responded to five motor vehicle accidents on Thursday. One of the accidents was reported as a hit and run accident in the 2700 block of Vine Street Thursday evening. The accident occurred between 5:05 and 5:13 p.m. Officers also investigated a personal injury accident at 7th and Ash Street at 7:48 Thursday evening.
