Barbara Mandrell has signed on to make a rare appearance at George Jones‘ final concert, November 22 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Of course, George and Barbara scored a #1 hit together in 1981 with “I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool.”
George says of Barbara, “I was honored to be part of her Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony a few years ago, as she is just one of the greatest singers of all time.” He adds, “I am so happy that Barbara is coming to the Nashville show.”
Barbara joins a star-studded lineup for George’s final show that includes Garth Brooks, Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, Alan Jackson and many others.
