The Hays Police Department conducted 43 traffic stops and received nine animal calls between Friday morning and Sunday evening, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: Officers investigated two thefts reported Friday afternoon. The first was reported in the 700 block of Vine Street at 12:23 p.m. The second theft was reported in the 100 block of West 38th Street. The alleged theft occurred between Thursday evening at 9:45 and Friday afternoon at 2:50.

Unattended Death: The Hays PD responded to the report of an unattended death; by natural causes in the 2900 block of Grant Avenue Friday afternoon at 3:13.

Aggravated Assault: Officers responded to a call for the removal of an unwanted person in the 4300 block of Vine Street Saturday morning. Once officers arrived on scene they began an investigation into an Aggravated Assault in connection with the unwanted person report. The alleged incident occurred between 9:30 and 10:05 a.m.

Criminal Damage to Property: Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of East 30th Street for the report of suspicious activity Saturday morning. Officers then began an investigation into damage to property. The alleged criminal damage to property occurred at 10:47 a.m.

Domestic Disturbance: The Hays PD responded to two domestic disturbance reports on Saturday. The first was reported in the 300 block of West 6th Street at 4:57 a.m. There was also a disorderly conduct report in connection with the domestic disturbance. The second domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of West 17th Street at 5:52 Saturday morning.

Disturbance: The Hays Police Department received five disturbance reported over the weekend. One was for a fight in the 500 block of West 7th Street Saturday morning at 1:33. There was also a report of disorderly conduct in connection with the disturbance. Three disturbances reported Friday were noise reports.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers conducted two driving under the influence stops in the early morning hours Saturday. The first stop was conducted in the 600 block of Fort Street at 1:00 a.m. The second stop was conducted in the 100 block of East 7th Street at 2:02 a.m.

Motor Vehicle Accidents: There were three motor vehicle accidents reported to the Hays Police Department over the weekend. The first accident was in the 400 block of West 3rd Street at 11:35 Friday morning. The second accident was in the 2600 block of Vine Street Friday at 4:46 p.m. The final accident was reported Saturday evening at 8:00 as a personal injury accident at 12th and Ash Street.
