2p.m. UPDATE   The work has been completed and Highway 40 is back to normal.

Scheduled maintenance is in progress on Highway 40 West of Hays. County highway crews are in the process of repairing a guardrail near Yocemento. The damage is a result of a car accident. Crews are repairing spacers and posts and motorists are encouraged to slow down while the men are at work. The maintenance should be concluded by early afternoon.
