Taylor Herman scored with just a half second left in the second half lifting the Hays High girl’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Newton last night in the semifinals of the McPherson Invitational.

Hays out shot Newton 3-1.

With the win the Indians advance to the championship game Saturday evening against Andover Central.

Andover Central defeated Maize South 2-1 on penalty kicks.

The Indians are 3-0 on the season.
